SII Dry Kilns Announces Kiln System Installations

Lexington, NC–Brian Turlington, vice president at SII Dry Kilns, based here, announced several installations of kiln systems that have been completed recently. Over the last several months SII Dry Kilns has installed and started up kilns in a variety of designs and locations including three kilns for UFP Industries, Inc. – one in Moultrie, GA, one in Windsor, CO and one in Saginaw, TX. 

SII Dry Kilns has installed three kilns for Robinson Stave in Morganton, GA, two kilns for C & L Wood Products in Hartselle, AL, one – a 240’ direct fired dual path continuous kiln – for Dupont Pine Products in Alapaha, GA, one – a 42 cord firewood kiln – for William A. Day Logging in Porter, ME and one – a 54 cord firewood kiln – for JB Firewood in Monmouth, OR. 

Additionally, SII has completed kiln rehab projects for Lawrence Lumber Company in Maiden, NC, J W Jones Lumber Co. in Elizabeth City, NC, as well as installing and upgrading control systems for Kepwood in Lexington, NC, Great Southern Wood Preserving in Mansura, LA, Oaks Unlimited in Waynesville, NC, Dominion Wood Preservers in Gordonsville, VA and MacDonald & Owen Lumber Company in Luck, WI. 

SII Dry Kilns is a manufacturer of conventional package-loaded kilns, Dual Path Continuous kilns and double track-loaded batch kilns, in addition to various types of fan sheds and multi-zoned pre-dryers for the Hardwood and softwood industries. SII offers complete kiln rehab and rebuild services including roofs and wall panels, doors, heating systems, fan deck, and structural replacements. The company is family-owned and is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
