CM Tucker Lumber Assets Acquired By Doman Building Materials
The base purchase price for the assets formerly owned by CM Tucker Lumber Companies, LLC was around $255 million in cash. This transaction is funded by the cash the company already had available and revolving credit facilities, which meant that Doman Building Materials Group gained Tucker Lumber on a debtless, cash-free basis.

Tucker Lumber was founded in 1920 and there are 425 employees across three locations and a total of 37 treating plants. Tucker Lumber is headquartered in Pageland, SC, which has a specialty sawmill, treating plants, dry kilns, remanufacturing operations and distribution facilities. Their other treating plants are found in facilities in Henderson, NC and Rock Hill, SC, which allow them to serve the Eastern United States markets. Tucker Lumber sells treated lumber and plywood, decking, deck posts, fence pickets, spindles, fence panels, step stringers, step treads, handrails, round fence posts, balusters and split rail fencing.

Amar Doman, chairman and CEO of Doman Building Materials, is excited about the acquisition and looks forward to working with some key personnel at Tucker Lumber. He predicted that Tucker Lumber will complement Doman’s existing operations and help them progress, hopefully into 10 states that the company wants to expand their footprint in. This transaction will expand the company’s reach coast-to-coast in 37 states, including Hawaii.
