R.P. Lumber Acquires Malcom Lumber in Iowa

Edwardsville, IL— R.P. Lumber Co., Inc., headquartered here, a growing building materials and hardware retailer, is continuing its expansion into the Hawkeye State with the recent acquisition of Malcom Lumber’s Grinnell and Oskaloosa locations. Originally opened in 1982 in Malcom, IA by Roger and Judy Schroeder, Malcom Lumber expanded into Grinnell in 1994 and Oskaloosa in 2000.
R.P. Lumber opened its first location in Staunton, IL in 1977 and has continued to grow throughout the states of Illinois, Missouri and Wyoming.

Both Malcom Lumber locations were set to begin operating under the R.P. Lumber brand shortly after the sale, and key members of the staff will continue on with the company as R.P. Lumber looks to add new employees and expand its offerings.
