Penn-Sylvan Welcomes Guests To Penn-York Event

The Penn-York Lumbermen’s Club recently held a meeting featuring golf and dinner with Penn-Sylvan International Inc., located in Spartansburg, PA, serving as the host.

Golf was played at Corry Country Club followed by dinner at The Fork and Barrel Restaurant, also in Corry.
Guest speaker for the evening was Marc Reese from Penn-Sylvan who spoke about the Climax Locomotive, which was built in Corry, PA and was used to haul logs to sawmills.

According to the company’s website, Penn-Sylvan is known as the leading manufacturer of 3/4 inch lumber. Penn-Sylvan has produced all thicknesses of hardwood lumber for the past 25 years. Among its lumber species offerings are Ash, Beech, Cherry, Hard and Soft Maple, Hickory, Poplar, Red and White Oak, and Walnut.

The final meeting of the Penn-York Lumbermen’s Club was scheduled for last month in State College, PA, and hosted by Walker Lumber and Forcey Lumber.
