Indiana Awards Multiple Grants To Wood-Related Businesses; Pike Lumber Is Among Them

The Indiana Economic Development Corp. (IEDC), in partnership with Conexus Indiana, recently awarded grants totaling $2 million to 20 Indiana-based businesses.

Part of the Economic Activity Stabilization and Enhancement (EASE) program, the grants are awarded to position the state’s manufacturing sector for future growth and prosperity.

The 20 grants cover a wide range of industries. Wood product companies included:

Pike Lumber Co., of Akron, IN, a manufacturer of kiln-dried Hardwood lumber, received $95,320. Rich Solano, of Pike, said the grant would be used in regard to scanning technology at one of the company’s mills.

Other wood-related companies that were grant recipients were: Advanced Cabinet Systems of Marion, IN and Indiana Furniture Industries Inc, of Jasper, IN.
