Two Rivers Timber Co-Founder Presides Over Various Departments

Kevin Chilson

Kevin Chilson is president of Two Rivers Timber Co. Inc., in Addison, NY, where he is in charge of log and lumber sales and general operations.

Two Rivers Timber Co. specializes in the domestic and export shipment of quality Appalachian lumber and logs. It produces five million to six million board feet annually of green lumber in all thicknesses, as well as hardwood veneer and saw logs, chips, bark and pulpwood.

The company is a member of National Hardwood Lumber Association and National Federation of Independent Business.

Chilson has been in the forest products industry since 1974, when he worked at his father’s sawmill in Nelson, PA, in the mornings while attending 10th through 12th grades.

After graduating from Elkland High School in 1976, he became a truck driver and worked in the woods for Chilson Logging. From 1985 to 1995, he also was a log buyer for Commonwealth Plywood in Ste.-Therese, QC. Chilson and his father founded Two Rivers Timber Co. in 1991, and Kevin became president after incorporation in 1994.

In his spare time, Chilson enjoys working on classic cars and reading about the history of the railroad logging era.

He and his wife of 46 years, Karen, have one son and two grandchildren.

Roy Anderson Lumber Exports Ash, Oak, Poplar, Hickory And Cherry

Ling Walker

Ling Walker is the international sales representative at Roy Anderson Lumber Co., located in Tompkinsville, KY.

Roy Anderson produces 50 million board feet annually and has a kiln capacity of 1.1 million board feet. The species that Roy Anderson offers are Ash (4/4 through 16/4), Cherry (4/4), Hard and Soft Maple (4/4), Hickory (4/4 and 6/4) and Poplar, Red and White Oak and Walnut (4/4 through 16/4). The species that they export include Ash, Red and White Oak, Poplar, Hickory and Cherry. They have a planer facility, a straight line rip and they offer mixed loads.

Walker’s first job in the forest products industry was at Roy Anderson and she has been there for 19 years. She graduated from Chifeng High School in Chifeng, China.

In her spare time, Walker likes to garden. She has been married to her husband Louis Walker for 27 years.

Roy Anderson is a member of the National Hardwood Lumber Association, Kentucky Forest Industries Association, American Hardwood Export Council and Appalachian Hardwood Manufacturers Inc.
