Western Wood Preservers Institute Seeks Executive Director

Western Wood Preservers Institute (WWPI) is seeking an experienced, visionary leader to serve as its next executive director in representing the preservative- and fire-retardant-treated wood industry across western North America from its headquarters in Vancouver, WA.

WWPI’s executive director reports directly to the board of directors and is responsible for guiding the organization’s strategic direction, overseeing all program areas and ensuring the effective management of staff, finances, outreach efforts and member engagement.

This role requires exceptional leadership, communication and relationship-building skills across technical, regulatory and industry contexts. The executive director will coordinate Institute strategies to:

  1. Build public and customer confidence in treated wood products
  2. Support balanced and science-based environmental regulations
  3. Protect and support the production and use of preserved wood products manufactured by its members
