Palm Desert, CA–JW Marriott Desert Resort & Spa, located here, was the recent site for the North American Wholesale Lumber Association (NAWLA) Leadership Summit/Western Wood Products Association (WWPA) Annual Meeting.

This three-day education and networking event provided decision-makers from across the forest products industry opportunities to build knowledge on relevant management topics. Also, key trends were addressed in education sessions.

The NAWLA and WWPA Board of Directors met separately during this event to address organizational business.

Guest speakers addressed industry topics of interest in educational sessions, which included the future of railroading from Norfolk Southern, succession planning and leadership, how to enable a more competitive supply chain through technology, leveraging technology to create efficiencies to meet home builders challenges and mass timber construction.
