BPWood Showcases Recent Project In Tour
Squamish, BC—located halfway between Vancouver and Whistler—is home to Squamish Canyon, the site of a recent BPWood-hosted tour showcasing fiber implementation in an impressive project. The Mamquam Canyon, formed 13,000 years ago by the eruption of Mt. Garibaldi, now supports a diverse ecosystem of Fir and Cedar trees, mosses, lichens, ferns, shrubs and wildflowers. Boardwalks and bridges allow visitors to explore this environment, while cantilevered walkways offer breathtaking views. These structures are made from locally sourced fibers, in collaboration with forestry stakeholders and wood product suppliers, including BPWood.
Based in Penticton, BC, BPWood is a wholesale remanufacturer with international partners, providing innovative solutions for the wood products industry.
