The WM4500 Industrial Sawmill
As Wood-Mizer’s next generation flagship industrial sawmill, the WM4500 continues a long tradition of providing commercial sawmilling equipment solutions throughout the world. Wood-Mizer customer Deep Woods Lumber Co. integrated the WM4500 into their own line as their family business began to grow. Starting with a simple circular sawmill and easily transitioned to the WM45000 industrial sawmill, to keep up with production demands. As their business continued to grow, Deep Woods also added a Wood-Mizer industrial board edger to their system which improved their material flow and efficiency. Showing just how easy it is to adapt your system to your own needs.
“All of the boards, ties, everything will end up on the same side of the sawmill at the same time. Honestly, we have probably one of the simplest and easiest setups there is for this type of Wood-Mizer,” said Bryce Woolridge, sawmill operator at Deep Woods Lumber Co.

The WB2000 is built to handle large, long and heavy hardwoods. The bed and head construction of the WB2000 is made to last and minimize down time. Mills that produce into the crane mat industry will thrive with this sawmill. The WB2000 features a modular bed design so customization of log handling can be tailored to your specific needs.
The WB2000 also includes features such as a heavy-duty Twin Rail Head Construction with Quad Post Support, increased material drag back capabilities, wideband performance with 2-inch or 3-inch Wide Sawmill Blades, as well as a six ton log capacity, making it a powerful and efficient addition to your industrial system.
Just like the previous two systems, the WB2000 can be used as a standalone sawmill to fully process a log, or in addition to an existing system to process irregular logs or produce custom orders.
An example of the WB2000 in use is Wilson Enterprises. “We do everything in-house here. We purchase the logs, we mill them on the mill, we’ll run it through the resaw, we have four large dry kilns here, so everything gets dried in-house. From there we actually process everything to a finished product start to finish,” said Wilson Enterprises owner, Gerry Wilson.
