WILLIAM A. MUELLER - MUELLER BROTHERS 1

William A. Mueller, of O’Fallon, MO, passed away recently at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Betty D. Mueller; cherished son of the late Albert and F. Elizabeth Mueller; devoted father of Belinda (Charles) Gentemann and Randy (Nettie) Mueller; loving grandfather of Wade (Amanda) Gentemann, Wes (Jill) Gentemann, Russ Gentemann, Heidi Moorman, Elizabeth (Matt) Anderson, Janette Mueller and Scott Mueller; treasured great-grandfather of eight.

William proudly and honorably served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the USS Curtis Foundation and the local VFW. William enjoyed working with his brothers, Tom Mueller and the late Donald Mueller, in the Hardwood sawmill industry with Mueller Brothers Timber Inc. for more than 40 years. He began in the business with his father in 1956 and built the sawmill up from working in the farm trade to a sawmill that produced eight million board feet of lumber annually and sold that lumber worldwide. Mueller Brothers wouldn’t be here without his direction.

In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, golfing, and most of all spending time with his family. He was also a lifetime member of St. Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul, MO. Betty stated they had a lifetime of love and happiness. William was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Memorials may be made in William’s name to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
