Fritz Klosterman

Fritz Klosterman is a senior trader with Wildwood Trading Group (WTG) which is headquartered in Tualatin, OR. Wildwood Trading Group handles all lumber sales for Vaagen Brothers Lumber Inc., headquartered in Colville, WA.

Wildwood Trading Group is a building products marketing company that manages mill sales, wholesale distribution, remanufacturing and transportation services.

Marketing a substantial amount of board feet of Pine, Douglas Fir, Hemlock and Southern Yellow Pine annually, WTG’s offerings include 2×4, 2×6, and 2×8 sizes. Grades include MSR, No. 2 Common and Better, SEL Struct, No. 3 Common and Utility Grades.

Klosterman has been with WTG for five years and has more than three decades of experience in the forest products industry. In a career spanning back to the early-1990s, Klosterman has had the opportunity to work as a core layer and lumber trader for different companies throughout the forest products industry.

He has been married to Erin Klosterman for 14 years and the couple has two sons and a daughter. In his downtime, he enjoys spending time with his family and playing sand volleyball.

Wildwood Trading Group maintains a membership with the North American Wholesale Lumber Association.

DMSi Software Supports Lumber Companies

Jared Plucknett

Jared Plucknett leads Customer Support and Implementations at DMSi Software as the vice president of customer service. DMSi Software, based in Omaha, NE, develops computer software to manage lumber and building materials businesses in real time, with integrated solutions for sales, accounting operations, and inventory management. The company’s flagship software, Agility ERP, helps businesses run more efficiently and profitably.

With a reputation for unparalleled customer service, Plucknett’s implementation and support teams focus on minimizing the disruptions of upgrading to new software. In short, they aim to make the transition as seamless as possible. Starting with a new customer site visit, the team creates a roadmap to identify where and how their software can support and improve a customer’s business processes. They then create a training plan and start regular check-ins to help keep upgrades on track. When a business goes live on Agility, team members are on site for a few days. After that, the support team is always just a phone call away.

DMSi is a member of the North American Wholesale Lumber Association, National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association and the National Hardwood Lumber Association.

A graduate of Ogallala High School, Plucknett went on to graduate from the University of Nebraska in Omaha, NE, with a double major in Computer Science and Management of Information Systems.

Plucknett has been married to his wife, Annette, for the past 18 years. They have one son and one daughter. In his free time, he enjoys supporting his kids’ activities by coaching softball and being involved with show choir.

NELMA: Handling The Training, Certification Of Member Mills’ Personnel

Jeff Easterling

As president of the Northeastern Lumber Manufacturers Association (NELMA), Jeff Easterling manages all aspects of the association, its personnel, programs and activities.

A trade association based in Cumberland Center, ME, and catering to the softwood lumber industry in the Northeast and Great Lakes regions, NELMA is a lumber and wood products inspection agency that provides lumber grading overview services for its Softwood lumber mill members.

Accredited by the American Lumber Standard Committee, NELMA handles the training and certification of member mills’ designated grading personnel. The association also conducts monthly audits of members’ stamped and inventoried lumber. Additionally, NELMA provides heat treatment verification to customers that use solid wood materials to produce wood packaging for export such as pallets, crates, skids, boxes and dunnage.

Prior to joining NELMA as president in 2001, Easterling served as the vice president of marketing for the Southern Forest Products Association. With more than four decades of experience in the forest products industry, Easterling also spent time as a forest utilization specialist for the Arkansas Forest Service.

A graduate of Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS, Easterling enjoys traveling, hiking, studying Old West history, drawing and writing short stories. He has two daughters.

Maintaining memberships with the North American Wholesale Lumber Association and the American Wood Standard Committee, NELMA also sustains reciprocal memberships with a variety of regional wood products associations.

Neiman, Specializing In Pine, ESLP

Wes Bush

Wes Bush has been a key part of Neiman Enterprises, located in Hulett, WY, since 1987, with over 15 years of experience in the sales department. His career began in lumber production, where he was a lumber piler in the planer. He spent 2.5 years as an inspector for Timber Products Inspection before transitioning to his current role in 2007. Bush now handles sales for clients across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, utilizing the rare experience from production to quality.

Neiman specializes in a variety of forest products, including lumber made from Pine, Engelman-Spruce-Lodgepole-Pine, along with heating pellets. The company offers both standard and value-added services such as custom patterns and pre-finishing. They are proud members of the Western Wood Products Association and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, reflecting their commitment to responsible forestry.

Outside of work, Bush enjoys hunting, riding his Harley Davidson, CNC Plasma cutting and spending time with his family and Beagle.
