Hamburg, New York—Levi Soodsma has been with Baillie Lumber, headquartered here, since 2016. Originally only focused on the China market, Soodsma has recently expanded his responsibilities and is now managing the export of North American hardwood lumber and logs to Australia, New Zealand and Thailand.

Baillie Lumber is one of North America’s largest hardwood lumber manufacturers, distributors and exporters. Baillie provides hardwood logs, hardwood lumber and proprietary grade hardwood lumber products to secondary manufacturers and distributors all around the world.

Baillie’s hardwood manufacturing facilities are spread north to south in the eastern United States. They also utilize a network of trusted partner mills and suppliers in the U.S. and internationally to supplement their own hardwood manufacturing capabilities, which gives them an extensive breadth of specie availability and supply.

Soodsma is a graduate of Wheaton College. He and his wife currently reside in Buffalo, NY. In his free-time, he is an active volunteer with the Young Life organization.
