SFPA Convenes In Nashville For Annual Meeting

Nashville, TN–The Southern Forest Products Association (SFPA) met here recently at The Westin Hotel in observance of its annual meeting.

In addition to networking opportunities, the SFPA meeting hosted a Southern Yellow Pine (SYP) Export Roundtable that provided updates on how trade disputes and agreements affect the Southern Pine export markets. Attendees also participated in a roundtable review of international program activities and discussion about SYP priorities for the 2024 Unified Export Strategy.

The Expo Advisory Committee met during this annual event, followed by a reception and dinner.

Also, The Southern Forest Products Association elected its new officers during the board of directors session at the association’s annual meeting. The 2022-23 board of directors officers are:

•Chairman of the Board: Mark Richardson, The Westervelt Co.
•Vice Chairman of the Board: Rich Mills, Hood Industries Inc.
•Treasurer: Pino Pucci, LaSalle Lumber Co.
•Immediate Past Chair: Will Lampe, Lampe & Malphrus Lumber Co.

The SFPA, headquartered in Metairie, LA, represents Southern Pine products and services around the globe, managing a comprehensive product promotion program. Founded in 1915, SFPA’s mission is to advance the Southern Pine lumber industry, promote the use of member products in domestic and international markets, and facilitate the exchange of information and cities.
