Milwaukee, WI–The Wisconsin Center, located here, was the site of the recent National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) Wood Flooring Expo, a multi-day annual event touted as the only trade show in the world dedicated exclusively to the wood flooring industry. More than 2,200 attended and/or exhibited.

By all accounts, this year’s NWFA Expo did not disappoint. It offered more than 30 speakers. Education sessions were designed to help attendees hone their technical skills, grow their business and stay ahead of market trends. Topics included how to survive in any economy, improving sales, the building science of floor systems and more.

NWFA also made available to attendees new product demonstrations and exhibitions on the trade show floor.

Additionally, the Pre-Expo Symposium hosted NWFA certified professionals to hear guest speakers, such as Dr. Gene Wengert aka The Wood Doctor, and numerous networking opportunities were provided. The NWFA Hardwood Floors magazine also announced its annual “Wood Floor of the Year” winners.

The National Wood Flooring Association, headquartered in Chesterfield, MO, is an international not-for-profit trade association representing all segments of the Hardwood flooring industry, including manufacturers, distributors, retailers, installers, importers/exporters, inspectors and consultants.

As such, NWFA’s mission is to unify and strengthen the wood flooring community through technical standards, education, networking, and advocacy.

The organization accomplishes this through various programs and services, such as hands-on and online training, its annual Wood Flooring Expo, Hardwood Floors magazine, and technical standards and publications that are recognized worldwide.
