The Holiday Valley’s main lodge in Ellicottville, NY, was the recent site of a meeting for the Penn-York Lumbermen’s Club.

The brief evening gathering of the Club provided approximately 75 members and guests opportunities to network during hors d’oevres and dining prior to hearing a guest presentation by Michael Snow, executive director of the American Hardwood Export Council, located in Sterling, VA, who spoke about the latest export data and the European Union Deforestation Regulation.

Fitzpatrick & Weller Inc., along with W.J. Cox Associates, served as the host of this meeting. Founded in 1895, Fitzpatrick & Weller Inc. is a multi-national supplier in the Hardwood lumber and wood components industries. Located in Western New York, the company has developed and earned a reputation, known to many parts of the world, for quality raw materials, master crafted production, and customer-oriented management, according to their website (www.fitzweller.com). The company offers Hardwood species that are native to their locale include Red and White Oak, Hard and Soft Maple, Cherry, Ash, Poplar and Basswood. They also handle Mahogany, European Beech and Walnut.

The next Penn-York meeting is scheduled for May 20 and will be hosted by Kane Hardwood, located in Kane, PA.
