AHEC Addresses Exports During NHLA Convention Presentation

Cleveland, Ohio–The American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) met recently in conjunction with the National Hardwood Lumber Association’s 125th Annual Convention and Exhibit Showcase, held here at the Huntington Convention Center.

AHEC’s Board of Directors met and the organization’s executive director, Michael Snow, also delivered an educational session presentation during the convention. The presentation was entitled Enhancing Access To Export Markets In A Time of Global Transformation. In this session, AHEC staff discussed export trends and changes in environmental policies around the globe as well as outlined what a potential jurisdictional certification program might look like for the lumber industry, and the steps that AHEC has taken in that direction.
