Port Coquitlam, British Columbia—Hoglands Sag & Hyvleri invested in two continuous kilns from Valutec, with its head office here, for its sawmill at Anundsjo, Sweden. After the investments, the company’s drying capacity will reach 375,000 cubic meters (158,916 MBF) annually.

Hoglands Sag & Hyvleri is a family-owned company comprised of the sawmills, Hoglandssagen and Anundsjosagen, in addition to the grading department located at Domsjo. The sawmill saws both Fir and Pine, mainly for use as construction lumber and primarily sold on the Swedish and UK markets. Together, the sawmills produce about 320,000 cubic meters (135,608 MBF) of lumber products annually. Installation of the new lumber kilns was set to begin in August 2021.

Also, HASSLACHER Group, one of the world’s leading producers of glulam and Cross Laminated Timber (CLT), invested in TC continuous kilns from Valutec. The deal means the well-known timber industry group becomes the first in Austria to own the groundbreaking lumber kiln. According to Valutec, this is also a new prestigious order for Valutec, which strengthens its position as a global leader within the field of continuous kilns.
