The Federation of Rajasthan Handicraft Exporters (FORHEX), located in Jaipur, India, with its growth over the course of the last 10 years, firmly believes in forging ahead with renewed strength, enthusiasm and motivation, to achieve the objective and the vision that its members have carefully worked on as “One United Team.”

FORHEX works towards creating greater synergy levels with their members, the governmental bodies and all trade related bodies. FORHEX has continued plans to be a part of the infrastructural development plans for Handicrafts in the State.

While there has been acceptance of FORHEX by international bodies like the Centre for Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries (CBI), of the Government of the Netherlands, who have also taken up FORHEX as their “Business Support Organization”; efforts will be channelized for greater co-operation by virtue of such associations in other countries across the world. Thus, allowing the members the opportunities to update themselves and their products.

Specific programs in areas of designing, materials used in crafts, efforts to explore new and hidden crafts, trade related workshops, personal development programs and group participation are all in the pipeline.

A databank is also being developed by FORHEX Secretariate for information to be available to members on local and international designers, domestic and international trade fairs and industry related information.

The Federation is also gaining from the intellect of visionaries like Dr. Lalit K. Panwar, who is now an honorary member.

Plans are afoot to develop a product development center with state-of-the-art technology and human resources to give the much-needed R&D boost to the industry.
