Ad Sachan is general manager and head of design/operations for TREELINE Woodworks, located in Los Angeles, CA.

TREELINE Woodworks is a manufacturer of solid wood flooring, siding, custom millwork, in addition to metal/CNC/laser work. The company purchases 100,000 board feet per year of new Walnut and Rift/Quartered White Oak (4/4, Character grade) and reclaimed Oak, Douglas fir and pine (various sizes from 1-by and 2-by to beams).

Unique services offered by TREELINE include a custom fabrication division that can work alongside a client to make a whole host of furnishings, involving wood and metalwork, CNC and laser engraving or cutting.

Sachan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics. He has worked at TREELINE for over nine years and it is his first position in the forest products industry. As general manager, Sachan handles daily operations, including lumber purchasing and assisting customers with product designs.

TREELINE Woodworks is a member of the National Wood Flooring Association, 1% For The Planet and The City of Los Angeles Green Business Program.

Brian Crown is Procurement Manager for Plato Woodwork Inc., located in Plato, MN.

Plato Woodwork is a manufacturer of custom cabinets, purchasing a yearly volume of 500,000 board feet of Alder, Cherry, Hard Maple, Rift and Plain Sliced White Oak and Walnut (FAS, No. 1 and No. 2 Common, KD, 4/4, 5/4, 6/4 and 8/4, 6 to 8 percent moisture content, Hit/Miss in 15/16-inch).

The company also offers design services and a co-op advertising program.

Crown graduated from Perry Senior High School, Perry, IA in 1987 and Northwest Technical Institute, St. Paul, MN, in 1991. He has worked at Plato Woodwork for 15 years in his current position, in which he handles lumber purchasing in addition to overseeing order processing and raw material negotiations.

Plato Woodwork is a member of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry, Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association, and the National Kitchen & Bath Association.

In his spare time, Crown enjoys the outdoors and raising game birds. He has been married to Kari for 25 years and the couple has two daughters.

Jacob Julian is lumber buyer, as well as Director of Production, for Julian & Sons, located in Heber Springs, AR.

Julian & Sons is a manufacturer of high-end millwork and cabinetry, purchasing 125,000 board feet of American Black Walnut per year (FAS, No. 1 and No. 2 Common, mostly 4/4 with some 6/4 and 8/4).

Julian graduated from Heber Springs High School, Heber Springs, AR, in 1991. He has worked at the family-owned operation since the age of 14, when he started sanding and finishing. Julian has spent 31 years at the company, with 4 years spent in his current position. He handles purchasing, production scheduling, design scheduling and assists in project management for the company, along with administration, installations and engineering of products.

In his spare time Julian enjoys golf and hiking. He has been married to Jamie for 24 years and the couple has one son and two daughters.
