Riverside Millwork: Purchasing Over 100,000 Board Feet Annually
Cynthia J. Hellems is the manager of Riverside Millwork Inc., located in Charlotte, NC. Riverside Millwork is a manufacturer of custom millwork, including doors, windows and mantels. Over 100,000 board feet of hardwood lumber is purchased by the company annually in domestic and some imported species, including Alder and Red Oak, as well as Sapele and Red Grandis (FAS and Pattern grade, 4/4, 6/4, 8/4 and 10/4, kiln-dried, rough, S2S and S4S).
Hellems graduated from Nicholas County High School, located in Summersville, WV, in 1982. She has been with Riverside Millwork for 34 years, four of which have been spent in her present position with responsibilities including lumber purchasing.
Riverside Millwork is a member of the World Millwork Alliance.
Hellems has been married to Scott for 42 years and the couple has one daughter, Jessica. The family lives on a 45-acre farm, where they board 15 to 20 horses. Hellems and her daughter raise a special breed of Brahman cattle called Sardo Negro for showing prospects.

Oshkosh Designs Made To Order
Thomas Skoglind is the COO at Oshkosh Designs located in Winneconne, WI. He has been with Oshkosh for seven years and has oversight of the company’s lumber purchases.
Oshkosh Designs is an end use manufacturer that produces bespoke hardwood flooring and walls, parquet flooring, medallions and borders. Their products are made to order including size, thickness, wood species, patterns and design. They also specialize in restoration projects on older or historic flooring.
Oshkosh purchases 150,000 board feet of upper grade domestic hardwood Red and White Oak, Maple, Walnut and Cherry. Overall, they purchase roughly 30 species of lumber in total including some imported Wenge and Brazilian Cherry. All species are available in Select and Better 5/4 thickness.
Skoglind graduated from Oshkosh West High School and then later the University of Wisconsin. He has been married to Karina for 34 years and has two children and two grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys formula one racing, motorcycles, martial arts, shooting, and several outdoor activities like hiking, golf, snowboarding, paddle boarding and cornhole.

Vermont Furniture Manufacturer Purchases One Million Board Feet
Tim Copeland is the president of Copeland Furniture, located in Bradford, VT. Copeland Furniture manufactures residential furniture for dining, bedrooms and home offices.
Copeland Furniture purchases one million board feet of Walnut, Cherry and Northern Red Oak in thickness 4/4, 5/4, 6/4 and 8/4, predominately in No. 1 Common.
Copeland first started in the forest products industry as a wholesale lumber salesman 54 years ago. He then went on to become the president of Copeland Furniture 50 years ago and handles the bulk of hardwood purchasing.
Copeland attended Trinity College in Deerfield, IL. He enjoys traveling, spending time with his grandchildren, skiing and sailing. He has been married for 56 years and has four children, 10 grandchildren, and two great grandsons.
Copeland Furniture belongs to the American Home Furnishings Alliance and the Sustainable Furnishings Council.
