Who's Who in Hardwoods - December 2024 1

Craig Patch is a purchasing agent for Carlisle Wide Plank Floors (CWPF) which is headquartered in Stoddard, NH. Working out of the manufacturing facility in Swanzey, NH, Patch has been with the company since 2006 and in his current role for more than two years.

Patch got his start in the forest products industry stacking lumber more than 23 years ago. In his two decades in the industry, he has worked as a trim-saw operator, debarker operator and resaw operator before finding a home with CWPF as a moulder operator along with many other roles.

A manufacturer of hardwood and engineered wood flooring, CWPF purchases approximately 2-3 million board feet of Ash, Brown and White Maple, Hickory, Red and White Oak, Birch, Cherry, reclaimed hardwoods, eastern white pine and longleaf heart pine in FAS, Rustic and proprietary grades annually and in 4/4 thickness and kiln-dried. In addition to its standard offerings, pre-finishing, patterned floors, handmade surfaces and panel production are also available through CWPF.

A three-time recipient of the Better Business Bureau’s Torch Award for Ethics, CWPF maintains memberships with the Wood Floor Covering Association, National Wood Flooring Association and Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests. It is also an MAS Certified Green® and NWFA certified manufacturer. 

A graduate of Monadnock Regional Middle/High School in Swanzey, NH, Patch enjoys golfing, traveling, camping and supporting his favorite sports teams. Outside of that, he enjoys spending time with his wife Erin and their two children.

Jeff S. Holt is the co-owner of Kendor Wood Inc. in Mayfield, KY, which purchases approximately 900,000 board feet of lumber annually.

Kendor Wood Inc. manufactures kitchen cabinet doors, wainscoting and specialty millwork in Hard and Soft Maple, Red and White Oak, Cherry, Poplar, Birch, Alder, Walnut, Ash, pine and several exotics (FAS, No. 1 Common, kiln-dried, 4/4, surfaced hit/miss).

Holt has been with Kendor Wood Inc. for 40 years. He has held his present position for 25 years. Holt began his career as a laborer with Kendor Wood Inc. in 1984 while still in high school. His other responsibilities have included sales, purchasing, inventory control and plant manager.

Holt is a graduate of Symsonia High School in Symsonia, KY. He received a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology and business administration from Murray State University in Murray, KY.

Holt and his wife of 35 years, Cheryl, have two children and three grandchildren. He enjoys hunting, fishing, vacationing and spending time with his family.

Todd Dennison is the owner and craftsman at Crafted Elements, located in Dundee, OH, a family-owned company with a focus on positively impacting their customers, vendors and employees through their love of craftsmanship.

Crafted Elements is a manufacturer of mouldings, carvings, large diameter turnings, decorative legs and bun feet. Annual lumber purchases total approximately 300,000 board feet of Hard and Soft Maple, Red and White Oak, Poplar and Cherry, as well as Alder, Walnut, Birch and Beech (Nos. 1 and 2 Common, Select, 4/4-16/4, S4S, 6-8 percent moisture content). Most of their material purchases are in the form of laminated turning blanks that are S4S and PET.

Additional products offered by the company include OEM replacement parts and game call components for hunting.

Dennison graduated from Mogadore High School, located in Mogadore, OH, in 1994 and attended Stark State College, located in North Canton, OH, in 2001. He has worked in the industry for more than 25 years and his duties include managing lumber procurement and day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility.

Crafted Elements is a member of the Wood Products Manufacturers Association and the Architectural Woodwork Institute.
