We’re Off To The Hoosier State

In a couple of weeks, members of the Hardwood Manufacturers Association (HMA) will be gathering in Fort Wayne, IN, Monday–Wednesday, September 15–17, for HMA’s 2025 Fall Regional Meeting.

Our base of operations will be the Courtyard by Marriott Fort Wayne Downtown at Grande Wayne Convention Center. That Monday, HMA’s Board of Directors, Officers, Past Presidents, and NextGen Leaders Council members will be convening for our Fall Board of Directors Meeting. And then on Tuesday and Wednesday, HMA members will hit the road to tour Pike Lumber Company Inc., in Akron, IN; Cole Hardwood and Indiana Dimension Inc., in Logansport, IN; Graber Lumber and Mulch and Campbell Road Sawmill in Spencerville, IN, and Wible Lumber in South Milford, IN.

Visiting sawmills, concentration yards, and secondary manufacturing facilities and seeing their operations in action, learning from their equipment and technology improvements, and talking with industry peers delivers an eye-opening experience.

More information on registration details, hotel accommodations, sponsorships, and descriptions of each tour can be found online at:

We're Off To The Hoosier State

Regional Meetings are one of HMA members’ most valuable membership benefits. Visiting sawmills, concentration yards, and secondary manufacturing facilities and seeing their operations in action, learning from their equipment and technology improvements, and talking with industry peers delivers an eye-opening experience. The tours are especially valuable for younger staff that’s newer to the industry, so consider sending or bringing them along.

And as a reminder, HMA Regional Meetings are only open to HMA members, promotion sponsors, and National Conference and Expo exhibitors. Not an HMA member?

Before closing out this month’s column, I have one more reminder. Mark your calendar for HMA’s 2026 National Conference and Expo, which will take place Wednesday–Friday, March 25–27, in Jacksonville, Florida. Keep an eye open for more details in the months ahead.
