JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio, Texas, welcomed approximately 425 members and guests of APA-Engineered Wood Association’s Annual Meeting.

The 2024 Bronson J. Lewis Award was presented at this year’s event to Dr. Borjen “BJ” Yeh, who served as director of the APA’s Technical Services Division since 2003. See APA’s column in this publication for details about Dr. Yeh and this award.

At the 2024 Annual Meeting, attendees had access to an exhibit hall full of products and services on display.

Also, APA membership committees held various meetings that addressed multiple topics, which included the international market, glulam/CLT, I-Joist/SCL, the industrial market and the residential and nonresidential markets.

A General Session for APA members was also held followed by a roundtable discussion about the markets.

Networking opportunities were plentiful too. In addition to receptions, buffets and dinners, attendees could sign-up to play in the Mike St. John Memorial Golf Tournament and the Ole Sorensen Memorial Pickleball Tournament, as well as, the cripple coot sporting clays shoot.
