Q. Company culture is a top priority for any business leader. What factors contribute to your company’s culture and how is your company’s mission defined?

A. Our mission is to consistently provide high value products that add value to our customers’ business. Our culture is inspired by the hands-on approach of our ownership group. We all have a consistent presence and contribute to the team goals while still empowering our leaders in making their own decisions, and respecting those decisions regardless of the outcome.

Q. How important do you believe it is for company leadership to lead by example in creating a positive, productive, cohesive workforce?

A. It is essential to practice what you preach if you want full buy-in from your employees. Failing to do this can demotivate employees leading to an unhealthy work environment.

Q. What programs and/or incentives do you have in place to motivate employees so they are not simply “going through the motions”?

I believe a portion of compensation for revenue generating positions should have an incentive component attached to it based on performance metrics. Additionally, spot rewards such as Amazon or restaurant gift cards are a practice we like to employ.
