You can take the girl off the Army base, but you can’t take the wanderlust out of the girl. Born in Colorado Springs and raised everywhere from Biloxi to Bavaria, Amanda Boutwell is a proud Army brat who mastered the art of packing light, making friends fast, and turning MREs into Michelin-star meals (well, almost).

Her journey to a career in publishing began with a happy accident. While in college, she took on a part-time job at a local radio station. One mic-check later, and she was hooked, changing her major to Communications/Journalism.

Much like her childhood, her radio career took her across the country, from Mississippi to Oklahoma, and ultimately landed her in Memphis, Tennessee. She retired from radio in 2018 and continued her career in publishing and communications, leveraging her knack for storytelling, public relations, and marketing.

Whether she’s juggling deadlines or fine-tuning layouts, you can count on her to bring heart, humor, and a whole lot of hustle. In her free time, Amanda enjoys traveling, reading, and pretending she’s going to fold the laundry straight out of the dryer.
