Obituary – André G. Lemire

At the age of 85, André G. Lemire, son of the late Georges W. Lemire and the late Yvonne Thibault, passed away. He resided in Sherbrooke, QC.

Lemire was a timber broker. He was an active member of the Rotary Club and a member of the Order of the Fusiliers Cross Sherbrooke. He was president of the National Hardwood Lumber Association from 1996 to 1998.

The family was scheduled to receive condolences at the Steve Elkas Funeral Complex, and a ceremony was expected to follow in the chapel at the same location. The ashes are expected to be interred in St. Michel Cemetery.

André G. Lemire is survived by his brother Pierre Lemire (Wendy Edge) of Field, BC; his sister Louise Lemire (Christian Guéric) of Beloeil, QC; his stepdaughter Caroline Lessard (daughter of the late Colette
Veilleux) and her partner Andy Garcia; Lessard and Garcia’s children: Tristan and Mia of Chambly, QC, as well as many cousins and friends.

All expressions of sympathy can be shown through donations to the Alzheimer Society of the Eastern Townships.
