Providence, RI– The Rhode Island Convention Center recently welcomed attendees to the 128th LBM Expo. The event is marketed as the lumber and building materials industry’s largest regional tradeshow, sponsored by the Northeastern Retail Lumber Association, (NRLA), which was established in 1894.

The two-day event featured guest speakers, educational demo zones and entertainment by renowned comedien Howie Mandel.

Tim Costello, with Builder Homesite Inc. and New Home Technologies LLC, was the opening session speaker. He was followed by The Modern Craftsman, featuring three businessmen who found their footing by heavily marketing through social media.

Demo Zone speakers were: Gary Striegler, of Craftsman Builders Inc.; Tony Blue, of Squared Away Contracting; and Myron Ferguson, of Ferguson Drywall Innov. Inc. Topics covered in the Demo Zone ranged from trim details to how to avoid structural mistakes to stand-out staircases and more.

The NRLA is headquartered in Rensselaer, NY.
