Northcentral Technical College Offers The Hardwood Manufacturers Certificate

The Hardwood Manufacturers Certificate is scheduled for the fall of 2023 at Northcentral Technical College (NTC), with a registration deadline of August 28. The 16-week course will prepare learners for fast growing, in-demand positions within the Hardwood manufacturing industry. Endorsed by the Hardwood Manufacturers Association, classes are taught in person and utilize Northcentral Technical College’s state-of-the-art Wood Technology Center of Excellence.

Upon completion graduates will be able to scale, grade and value Hardwood logs, inspect Hardwood lumber applying NHLA grading rules, break down logs, edge and trim lumber, examine the physical and mechanical properties of wood, operate a conventional dry kiln and identify Hardwood species.
