Canadian Hardwood Bureau 2026 Spring Meeting A Success In Montreal
The Canadian Hardwood Bureau welcomed more than 100 delegates to its 2026 Spring Meeting recently in Montreal, marking the largest and most successful gathering in the organization’s history.
A key highlight of this year’s event was its fully bilingual format, enabling inclusive participation and real-time engagement in both English and French. The program featured keynote speaker Bob Lennon of ThermalWood Canada, who shared insights on innovation, diversification and navigating today’s market challenges.
The member-driven roundtable forum sparked valuable discussion on market conditions, business outlook, advocacy, sustainability, and technology, reinforcing the importance of peer-to-peer exchange across the industry.
Networking remained a cornerstone of the event, with a reception and an industry hockey game helping to strengthen connections among attendees.
Day two included industry presentations by Gilles Pelletier of the Quebec Furniture Manufacturers Association, and Christian Faucher from École de foresterie de Duchesnay. Six new Board members were welcomed, and association updates were shared, including an IFIT-funded yield study in partnership with the National Hardwood Lumber Association.
The strong turnout and engagement reflect a united industry committed to collaboration and growth. CHB noted it looks forward to next year’s meeting as well.
