Dallas, TX— Richardson Timbers, a custom remanufacturer located here, recently installed a new 54-inch center split resaw from McDonough Manufacturing Company, which is based in Eau Claire, WI. The new machine is expected to increase board footage, reliability and the potential for increased automation.

“This saw is our main production machine,” said Genaro Berrones, Operations Manager. “I would say probably 90 percent of our production goes through this saw. It’s really a significant piece of equipment for us as a company.”

Richardson does custom milling, but if this new resaw was run continuously, it could cut up to 150 to 200 linear feet per minute.

McDonough and Richardson collaborated in installing this new resaw.

For over 100 years, McDonough has been a provider of durable sawmill machinery, with a focus on band mills, carriages, resaws and edgers, according to the company.
