ALC Welcomes Attendees To Annual Beach Event
The Appalachian Lumbermen’s Club held its Annual Beach Meeting in North Myrtle Beach, SC, recently with dozens of sellers, buyers and suppliers to the hardwood industry.
The Club met at the Avista Resort for the annual event and had more than 160 attendees. Casual networking was the theme for this weekend and included forest industry representatives from landowners, sawmills, distribution yards and secondary manufacturers from the central Appalachia region.
The group held three well-attended receptions and a Saturday dinner that was followed by giveaways and a fun game of “Deal or No Deal.” Jay Reese of Penn-Sylvan International was the top prize winner. Participants were drawn and allowed to select a case that held cash prizes. Before opening the case, they could accept cash offers to sell or keep it.
