Shawn Chaney
Shawn Chaney is a member of the sales team at Boise Cascade Building Materials Distribution, located in Modesto, CA.
Boise Cascade Co. is a leading national distributor of lumber and building materials with 38 distribution facilities across the U.S. The company offers a one-stop shopping experience for a broad and deep line of building materials sourced from Boise Cascade’s wood products division and other quality manufacturers.

Chaney graduated from Washington State University, located in Pullman, WA, in 2004 with a Master’s Degree in Business, Management, Marketing and Related Support Services. He has worked in his current position since 2006.

Chaney’s first position in the forest products industry was pulling lumber on a green chain at WTD Industries during the summer while attending college. Other past work has included working on the spreader crew at Timber Products and driving a forklift for Georgia-Pacific.
Boise Cascade Co. is a member of the North American Wholesale Lumber Association.

William Norris
William Norris is a lumber trader at Diorio Forest Products (Ashland, VA), a wholesale distribution company servicing customers throughout the lower 48 and Canada with reman capabilities for specialty orders.
Norris specializes in Eastern White Pine, Ponderosa Pine and Western Red Cedar for the softwood wholesaler.
A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University (B.S. Economics), Norris has been in the forest products industry for five years.
He is an avid sports enthusiast, who also enjoys golf and hiking.

Adam Duplisea has been promoted to vice president of sales and marketing at Nyle Dry Kilns in Brewer, ME.
Nyle Dry Kilns specializes in manufacturing high-quality lumber dry kilns that focus on energy efficiency, operational cost reduction and sustainability. Their product line includes forklift, track, continuous, L-Series and container kilns, as well as the PFT 800 heat-treating system.
Duplisea, who joined Nyle in 2022, brings 14 years of account management experience from the transportation sector. WCRLA Desires To Inspire And Educate
Brad Kirkbride
Brad Kirkbride is the managing director of the Western Red Cedar Lumber Association (WRCLA / Real Cedar).
WCRLA’s vision is that consumers, builders and architects choose Western Red Cedar for its attributes and benefits. As the voice of Western Red Cedar, WCRLA represents end users, distributors and supply chain partners.
The association wants to inspire and educate their consumers, builders and architects about Western Red Cedar, a species that Kirkbride praises as the “ultimate, natural and environmentally responsible building material.” Kirkbride helps to execute the WRCLA’s main objective of increasing the awareness of Western Red Cedar, inspiring its consideration and to making it easier to specify, purchase and use.
The WCRLA team and members participate in co-sponsored events and projects with the Softwood Lumber Board, BC Wood, the Canada Wood Group, Forestry Innovation Investment Ltd., National Resources Canada, FPInnovations, and the American and Canadian Wood Council.
Kirkbride has extensive management, sales and marketing experience, as he has spent 45 years in the industry and seven years in his current position. As managing director of the WRCLA, Kirkbride provides strategic advice to the board of directors and membership, helps to ensure retention of current members and recruitment of new members, leads the administrative team and market representatives, develops and executes the organizations business strategies, prepares and implements comprehensive business plans to facilitate the achievement of the promotion program, as well as liaises with other associations within the industry on forest policy and market trends.
Before the WRCLA, Kirkbride held the position of vice president, sales and marketing for Western Forest Products. Previous to that role, Kirkbride was the president and CEO of Mary’s River Lumber Company for almost 20 years. During his extensive career in the lumber and Western Red Cedar industry, Kirkbride was responsible for the marketing and sales of nearly $1 billion (both domestically and offshore) for species such as Western Red Cedar, Fir, Hemlock, Yellow Cedar and Sitka Spruce.
Kirkbride has a degree in Business from the University of British Columbia. Outside of work, he enjoys attending concerts, playing golf and spending time with friends and his large family of three children and 10 grandchildren.
