What’s Next For HMA?

It’s hard to believe that it’s already May. The year is moving quickly, but it’s as busy as ever at the HMA office. Following is a quick recap to get you caught up on HMA business, and a preview of what comes next.

In March, HMA hosted another successful and memorable National Conference and Expo. Our learning sessions provided valuable knowledge and our receptions offered excellent networking opportunities with our industry’s leading suppliers. We’re grateful for so many HMA members and vendors who made their way to the Sunshine State. And the opportunities for information exchange were plentiful.

Now with NatCon 2026 in the rearview mirror, we’re turning our attention to our Spring Regional Meeting.

We’ll be heading to Wisconsin, May 20–21, to tour a mix of sawmills and concentration yards. Details are coming together quickly, so keep a look out for details or visit hmamembers.org for tour sites, registration, and hotel information.

What’s Next For HMA? 1

HMA members consistently say Regional Meetings are one of our most valuable HMA membership perks. Only open to members, they’re an excellent opportunity to see new technology, equipment, and solutions in action; exchange information; and catch up with colleagues—new and old. I encourage you to register and book your hotel accommodations early to secure your spot.

And this summer, we will start planning for our 2027 National Conference and Expo. I’m pleased to say we’ll be heading back to one of our most memorable venues, The Charleston Place in Charleston, South Carolina. For now, mark your calendars for Monday–Tuesday, March 15–17. If you’d like to be part of our planning committee, feel free to reach out, your input is greatly appreciated and helps to ensure our signature event is the best it can be.

And throughout the year, we’re actively maintaining our solid American hardwood consumer promotion and professional education campaigns with editorial content reaching millions of consumers across the country, continuing education units teaching thousands of architects and interior designers, social media, and a robust website at www.HardwoodInfo.com.
