Marty Martin, Sales Manager And Hardwood Lumber Purchaser At AWP Wood Products

Based in Little Rock, AR, AWP Wood Products is a premier wholesale distribution yard specializing in high-quality domestic hardwoods. The company purchases approximately three million board feet of lumber annually, sourcing a wide variety of species including Red and White Oak, Hard and Soft Maple, Walnut, Poplar, Hickory, Cherry, Birch, Basswood, Ash, Cypress and white pine. Inventory is stocked in thicknesses from 4/4 through 12/4, with select No. 1 Common grades also available.

Beyond distribution, AWP offers custom molding and millwork production, along with a full line of domestic and imported plywood products. Marty Martin, sales manager and hardwood lumber purchaser, has led sales and procurement at AWP Wood Products since 2011. Premier Hardwood Products: Consuming 30,000 Board Feet Daily

Russell Shamblen handles kiln-dried and green lumber purchasing at Premier Hardwood Products in Syracuse, NY. Shamblen also does all the kiln-dried lumber sales for B&B Lumber Company, a sister company in McConnellsville, NY.

Premier Hardwood Products currently consumes 30,000 board feet per day (approximately seven million board feet annually) of kiln-dried hardwood lumber in Hard Maple, Red and White Oak, and Hickory. The grades are No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3A Common, all in 4/4 thickness. The company manufactures hardwood flooring.

Premier Hardwood Products is a member of National Wood Flooring Association, New England Lumbermen’s Association and Penn-York Lumbermen’s Club.

A 1980 graduate of West Virginia University, Shamblen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Wood Technology. He has been employed in the wood products industry at various companies and locations for the past 45 years. He has been with Premier Hardwood Products for nearly 20 years.

Shamblen, his wife Mary, and son William enjoy traveling, hiking, photography and being outdoors as much as possible.

Woodparts International Custom Production

Zach Fashbaugh is the president and lumber purchaser at Woodparts International Corp. in Elkhart, IN. He oversees kiln operations, customer communication, scheduling, and sales, managing all aspects of production and service.

Woodparts International is a distribution yard purchasing 150,000 to 200,000 board feet of domestic upper grade lumber, including Poplar, Cherry, Red and White Oak, and Soft Maple. The company provides custom kiln drying, S2S surfacing, ripping, and warehousing for customers in millwork, stair, furniture, and RV manufacturing. All processing is done in house with an emphasis on responsiveness and adaptability to each customer’s needs.

Before leading Woodparts International, Fashbaugh spent eight years in logistics sales and freight brokerage, experience that shaped his focus on efficiency and customer service. He graduated from Miami University in Oxford, OH.
