Bobby Comisky is president of Muscanell Millworks in Cortez, CO. Muscanell is a manufacturer of hardwood flooring, with sales throughout North America.

Muscanell purchases 2 to 3 million board feet of lumber per year in Ash, Cherry, Hickory, Red and White Oak and Walnut. They buy this lumber in various grades in 4/4, 5/4, 6/4 and 8/4 thicknesses, surfaced and unsurfaced.

Muscanell manufactures solid wood flooring in 3/4-inch thickness, surfaced, sanded and in textures. They also produce stair parts in 4/4, 5/4 and custom thicknesses up to 4-inches. They carry out special drying for arid climates, offer long average lengths and wide widths (ranging from 2-1/4 inches to 10 inches), precision milling, adhere to high quality standards and offer textures, bevels and sanding.

Comisky has worked for Muscanell for 28 years, the last four as mill president. His involvement in the forest products industry began with his employment at Muscanell in 1995. His first assignment was learning how to build high-quality decorative wooden boxes.

He attended a National Hardwood Lumber Association lumber grading workshop at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. He worked as a volunteer fire fighter for 27 years.

In his free time, Comisky enjoys camping, fishing and hunting. He and his wife of 22 years, Kelly Comisky, have two daughters.

The company is a member of the National Wood Flooring Association.

Cliff Benner is the director of procurement at Twin Oaks Custom Cabinets in Neosho, MO. Twin Oaks manufactures custom kitchen, bath and closet cabinets. They purchase 400,000 board feet of Alder, Poplar, Soft Maple, White Oak and Walnut in upper grades and 4/4 thickness.

Twin Oaks offers custom design consultation, precision CNC cutting and milling, custom staining and painting, soft-close and specialty hardware installation, custom modifications and specialty features, delivery and installation and post-installation support and warranty.

Benner’s first job in the forest products industry was at Twin Oaks. He has been with the company for 35 years and has been in his current position as director of procurement for the past nine years.

Benner graduated from Highland High School, Ewing, MO, and has a business degree from SHK.

In his free time, Benner enjoys motorcycles and woodworking. He has been married to his wife Kristy for 32 years and has four children and three grandchildren.

Daryl Miller

Daryl Miller is the purchasing manager at A&M Hardwoods, located in Dundee, OH. A&M Hardwoods is a distribution concentration yard that purchases 20 million board feet of Red and White Oak, Hard and Soft Maple, Cherry, Walnut, Elm, Ash, Hickory and Poplar in thicknesses of 4/4, 5/4, 6/4 and 8/4 and in grades FAS and Nos. 1 and 2 Common. A&M produces random width lumber as well as millwork. They also offer moulding, planing, sanding, ripping and cut to size chop.

Miller’s first job in the forest products industry was working in a cabinet shop. He has been with A&M for five years, where he started in sales and has been the purchasing manager for the past year and a half.

Miller attended Buckeye Trade School in New Philadelphia, OH.

In his free time, he enjoys hunting, camping and being the Assistant Fire Chief at his local fire department.

He has been married to his wife, Alyssa Miller, for five years, and they have a three-year-old son.

A&M Hardwoods is a member of the National Hardwood Lumber Association, Indiana Hardwood Lumbermen’s Association, Ohio Forestry Association, as well as many others.
