The Mississippi Lumber Manufacturers Association (MLMA) recently concluded its highly anticipated 69th annual Convention and Trade Show, held at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi, MS. Over 800 members were in attendance from across North America.

The highlight of the convention was the bustling trade show. Sixty-nine exhibitors showcased their innovative products and services, providing attendees with valuable insights into the latest advancements in the lumber manufacturing sector. From cutting-edge machinery and equipment to sustainable forestry practices, the trade show presented a comprehensive array of solutions.

A family event, the MLMA Convention and Trade Show went beyond business interactions and offered a range of engaging activities to foster fellowship among members. The golf tournament saw over 40 golfers at The Preserve Golf Club in Vancleave, MS, while the fishing tournament allowed anglers to showcase their skills on the waters of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

While the golfers and fishermen competed on the fairways and cast their lines, the ladies enjoyed a brunch at The Chimney’s in Gulfport. The festivities continued with a lively pool party on the Beau Rivage pool deck.

“The 2023 MLMA Convention and Trade Show truly surpassed our expectations,” exclaimed Bud Reaves, President of MLMA. “We are delighted to witness the enthusiastic participation from our members and the industry as a whole. Each year, this event serves as a fantastic setting for fun, fellowship, and business development in our industry. We are grateful for the continued support of our dedicated members.”

The MLMA Convention and Trade Show provided a unique opportunity for industry professionals to connect, exchange ideas, and discover groundbreaking solutions to the challenges facing the lumber manufacturing sector. By fostering collaboration and promoting innovation, the event further solidified MLMA’s commitment to driving the lumber manufacturing industry forward.

The Mississippi Lumber Manufacturers Association looks forward to building upon the success of this year’s event and anticipates an even more remarkable 70th annual Convention and Trade Show in June of 2024.
