A.J. Webb is the plywood sales manager at Hood Industries, located in Hattiesburg, MS.

Hood industries manufactures Southern Yellow Pine plywood and lumber, distributing specialty building materials nationwide. They produce 375 million board feet of plywood in m3/8 annually. They produce Southern Yellow Pine Plywood Siding, Sanded, SIF, and Rated Sheathing, with thicknesses ranging from 11/32 through 1 1/32.

Hood Plywood, a division of Hood industries, is a value-added plywood producer offering a complimentary mix of products to service an ever-changing structural panel industry. They offer flatbed, van, and rail transportation services shipping nationwide.

Webb has been with Hood Industries since November 2020, when he came on board as the Plywood Sales Manager. He has been in the industry for 16 years, holding a host of positions in sales and operations.

Webb graduated from North Carolina State University in 2007 with a bachelors in Wood Products and a minor in Business Management and Economics. Webb enjoys participating in church activities, and coaching youth sports, as well as fishing. He has been married to his wife, Sarah Webb, since 2010. They have a son and a daughter.

Jenlian Chadwick is a senior trader at Seaboard International Forest Products in Nashua, NH.

Seaboard International Forest Products is a wholesale lumber distributor and trading company selling predominately in North America, while also exporting to Europe and the Middle East. It purchases nearly 1 billion board feet of Softwood lumber, boards and panels annually.

The company operates from 40 U.S. reloads with 15 million to 20 million board feet of lumber on the ground at any one time, providing liquidity to sawmills while supplying just-in-time inventories for customers.

Seaboard International Forest Products is a member of North American Wholesale Lumber Association, Northeastern Lumber Manufacturers Association, Structural Building Components Association, New Hampshire Timber Owners Association, Forest Stewardship Council, and Sustainable Forestry Initiative.

Chadwick joined Seaboard as a trader 18 years ago after graduation from Northeastern University in Boston, where she received a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a dual concentration in international business and supply chain management. As Chadwick has progressed, her responsibilities have grown to include recruitment, interviewing and training of new hires. She is a member of NAWLA’s Young Emerging Lumber Professionals as well as FCTG’s Trader leadership group.

Chadwick and her husband of 18 years, McGregor, have one son, Jackson, and a daughter, Izabelle. In her spare time, she enjoys water skiing, snow skiing, running, biking, and cheering on her children as they play sports.

Gunnar Brinck is the vice president of Lock-Deck operations at Disdero Lumber Co., located in Clackamas, OR.

Disdero Lumber has operated since 1953 as a distributor and manufacturer of specialty wood products. With over 69 years of experience, the company works to offer high-quality products at competitive prices. Species offered include Western Red Cedar, Douglas Fir, Southern Yellow Pine, Ponderosa Pine, Alaska Yellow Cedar and Redwood, with product offerings in addition to lumber, such as timbers, decking and flooring.

Brinck earned a master’s degree in architecture from the University of California, Berkeley in 1984. Shortly after graduation he went to work as a San Francisco Bay area representative for the Western Wood Products Association, where he worked for seven years. Brinck then went to work at Potlatch Corp. in their Lock-Deck operation before joining the Disdero team in 1995. Disdero Lumber has had exclusive responsibility for the sales and distribution of Lock-Deck engineered roof decking for the last 27 years.

Disdero Lumber is a member of the North American Wholesale Lumber Association, Western Red Cedar Lumber Association, West Coast Lumber Inspection Bureau, American Plywood Association, Western Wood Products Association and the Portland Wholesale Lumber Association.

In his spare time, Brinck enjoys playing tennis, drinking red wine and traveling with his wife Marjie. The couple currently resides in Lake Oswego, OR, and has three sons: Eric, Brennan and Gavin.

Travis Shepherd is the Vice President of Sales and Service at McDonough Manufacturing Company, headquartered at Eau Claire, WI.

Since 1888, McDonough Manufacturing Company has focused on providing durable sawmill machinery, while providing the efficiency and speed required by the modern sawmill. Shepherd was recently hired at McDonough and brings with him 20 years of experience in the operation, maintenance and managing of sawmills. He was previously the General Manager at High Country Lumber and Mulch in North Wilkesboro, NC. Shepherd started out in the industry as a loader operator and worked his way through the ranks. Prior to joining McDonough, he was running one of the most modern and efficient hardwood mills in the country.

Shepherd graduated from Haywood Community College’s sawyer program in North Carolina and is a very capable sawyer and understands sawmill machinery from top to bottom. He has spent years learning how to get the most out of the equipment he was responsible for and has always looked for ways to improve his operation.

With his breadth of hands-on experience, Shepherd is a tremendous asset to Team McDonough and will help to continue to improve McDonough’s full suite of products and service for years to come, according to a company press release.

In his spare time, Shepherd likes to spend time with his wife April at the baseball diamond watching his three boys play baseball.
