CHRIS GAHM is the purchasing agent for Kitchen Kompact Inc., located in Jeffersonville, IN.
Kitchen Kompact purchases approximately 6 million board feet per year of Red Oak and Beech (No. 1 and 2 Common, 6-8 percent dryness, surfaced and 25/32 for face frame and 3/4 for their doors) to manufacture kitchen cabinets. He graduated from Saint Xavier High School, Louisville, KY, in 1991, then attended Centre College, Danville, KY, until 1995 when he graduated.

CHRIS JONES is Lumber Supervisor for Durham Furniture Inc., located in Durham, ON.
Durham Furniture is a manufacturer of solid wood bedroom and occasional furniture with distribution across North America. Annual lumber purchases total 3 million board feet of 4/4 to 8/4 Maple, Cherry and Ash in No. 2 and Better grade.
Durham Furniture was founded in 1899 and manufactures over 25 bedroom collections in styles that range from traditional to contemporary.
Jones attended a National Hardwood Lumber Association grading short course after graduating high school in Guelph, ON. He stated, “I am grateful to have gained valuable on-the-job training from respected leaders in the industry.”
Jones has worked at Durham Furniture for over 20 years, with 13 years spent in his current position. His responsibilities include purchasing and selling lumber, running day to day operations of the yard, as well as inventory management and managing/mentoring a staff of 10. Jones also serves as an integral part of the management team at the company.
In his spare time, Jones enjoys hunting, fishing and is an avid gamer. He has been married to his wife, Leanne, for 19 years and the couple has two children, Aiden and Alyssa.

WILLIAM MILLER is a lumber buyer for Salamanca Lumber Company, located in Salamanca, NY. Salamanca, a concentration yard that was established in 1977, manufactures kiln-dried Hardwood lumber, in Red and White Oak, Cherry, Hard Maple, Ash and Walnut in thicknesses of 4/4, 5/4, 6/4, 7/4, 8/4, 10/4, 12/4 and 16/4, as well as ripped to width. Salamanca has 23 kilns with a 1.2 million board foot capacity, 2 million board feet of kiln-dried storage and the capacity to pre-dry 750,000 board feet.
Miller has been a lumber buyer for Salamanca since 2023. He has been in the forest products industry since he was 13, when he first started stacking lumber for a local sawmill. He has been a lumber grader for the past six years.
In his spare time, Miller enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and taking cruise vacations. He has been married to his wife Ashley Miller for 10 years and he has two children.
