Happy New Year from your friends at NAWLA! NAWLA is excited to be planning a series of events in 2023 that are designed to help connect members and solve common industry challenges together – beginning with NAWLA’s annual Leadership Summit in March.

NAWLA 2023 Leadership Summit is Fast-Approaching

Taking place March 12-14 in Palm Desert, California, the 2023 Leadership Summit is an engaging three-day program focused on relevant management topics and key trends, including a look at future economic considerations and perspectives from executives in the lumber industry. NAWLA’s Leadership Summit also provides numerous opportunities to connect with peers and business contacts in order to increase revenue, reduce costs, and improve your company’s performance.

Registration for Leadership Summit is open to all and is especially beneficial for decision makers within the forest products industry, including those from retailers, buying groups, jobbers and all other segments across the supply chain. Learn more about Leadership Summit at the NAWLA website.

Executive Management Institute (EMI) Returns in April

Back by popular demand, NAWLA will continue its partnership with the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University by hosting EMI this April 23-28 in the Chicago area. This rigorous immersive education experience is designed for new and current senior leaders in the forest products industry. The program offers participants a unique opportunity to master and integrate tools and frameworks for leading their organizations in a business environment that is constantly evolving, and centers around five themes: strategy, including finance; sales management; innovation; negotiation; and managing change, with special emphasis on understanding culture. Space is limited so be sure to register early.

Save the Date for 2023 Traders Market

After a record-breaking Traders Market in 2022, NAWLA is getting ready for the 2023 Traders Market which will be held November 8-10 in Columbus, Ohio. Since 1996, Traders Market has held a unique position among lumber and building material tradeshows as the only one focused almost exclusively on the lumber supply chain. Unlike other shows, the exhibitors are almost always manufacturers of lumber and lumber-related products, not machinery or other equipment providers. Registration will open for 2023 Traders Market soon but as a reminder, Traders Market is only open to members of NAWLA.

In addition to the already-announced events in 2023, NAWLA is excited to bring back Regional Meetings as well as Spring and Fall Wood Basics courses coming available in 2023. Be on the lookout at nawla.org for more information and new opportunities to connect with NAWLA in 2023!
