This year’s Traders Market is the fall event for more than 1,400 forest and building material industry professionals. Taking place November 13-15 in Phoenix, AZ, attendees will have time on the show floor to speak with exhibitors, dedicated networking experiences, the chance to hear from inspiring speakers, and the opportunity to witness the launch of a brand-new NAWLA initiative. Making its return to Phoenix, here’s what this year’s Traders Market has in store.
Unique Networking Opportunities
Over the three-day event, attendees will have eight hours of show floor time to connect and network with exhibitors and fellow attendees. This year’s Traders Market provides ample time for networking including dedicated time on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 13 for in-person 10 Group meetings, as well as the Block Party Reception taking place that evening. Phoenix provides diverse dining options and settings for members to take their networking beyond the convention center.
Insights from Dynamic Speakers
On Thursday, attendees will have the chance to hear from Stefanie Couch, founder of GRIT Innovations and Build Women, as well as two-time TED Talk presenter and Hall of Fame speaker, Mike Rayburn.
A forward thinker, Stefanie champions the advancement of women and the next generation in construction by evolving marketing and revenue strategies. Her session will offer valuable insights into entrepreneurship, AI, social media, brand building, sales, and leadership to drive the lumber industry forward.
Our keynote luncheon will feature Mike Rayburn, a former guitarist for The Beach Boys, and John Oates. Using his guitar and humor, Mike fosters change and innovation in corporations. With over 5,000 presentations worldwide, including headlining at Carnegie Hall, he centers his unique approach around the question “What if?” His session will share three simple strategies for harnessing unrealized potential, leading change, and becoming a virtuoso performer.
Unveiling of a New NAWLA Initiative
This year’s Traders Market attendees will witness the launch of NAWLA’s brand-new learning management system (LMS), a one-stop shop for all educational content that is housed on NAWLA’s website. Users will be able to easily navigate the system by simply searching for topics or titles they are interested in. The new LMS will introduce an abbreviated version of the ever-popular in-person Wood Basics course. This feature aims to extend the reach of key Wood Basics content to new audiences, providing a valuable educational resource at any point in time.
NAWLA is excited about what is in store at the 2024 Traders Market, and we look forward to welcoming you to Phoenix this fall! Registration to NAWLA’s Traders Market is currently open to members of the organization. Information about the event is made available on NAWLA’s website.
