Arlington, MA— Arlington Coal & Lumber Co., headquartered here, has reached an agreement to purchase the assets and real estate of Friend Lumber Company, a third-generation lumber and building materials dealer with stores in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Arlington Coal & Lumber Co., a fourth-generation lumber and building materials dealer, owned by the McNamara family, has five locations in Massachusetts.
